Paysafe Issuing Cardholder Notice regarding Brexit

We want to let you know about a few changes to your Prepaid Mastercard. This is so that we can continue to offer card services in the European Economic Area (“EEA”).

As you may know, the United Kingdom left the EU on 31 January 2020 (commonly known as “Brexit”). We’ve been working hard to minimise the impact of Brexit on cardholders, and to make sure your services are not interrupted.

This is what we are doing:

Card and e-money services were provided to cardholders in the EEA through Paysafe Financial Services Limited, a UK Financial Conduct Authority authorised and regulated electronic money institution. These services will now be provided to cardholders in the EEA through a Paysafe Group company based in Ireland, Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited (“PPSL”) (company number 626665). PPSL is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as an electronic money institution (register number C184986).

Our Terms of Use are changing too:

The services you receive from PPSL will be governed by new terms and conditions between you and PPSL. The new terms and conditions will largely be the same as your previous terms and conditions with Paysafe Financial Services Limited, and you will continue to receive the same services. Minor changes are required to reflect the transfer of your Prepaid Mastercard to PPSL, which include:

  • changing the details of the Prepaid Mastercard service provider to PPSL;

  • changing the governing law and jurisdiction to Ireland; and

  • changing the details of the applicable point of contact if you have a complaint.

You can view the new terms and conditions by logging into your account.

The new terms and conditions apply to your Prepaid Mastercard from 4 August 2020.

What do you need to do now?

Nothing. The changes described above automatically apply to the card and e-money services you receive from 4 August 2020. Any existing balance on your Prepaid Mastercard has been transferred to PPSL and remains available as normal. If for any reason you aren’t happy with the above changes, you can close your Prepaid Mastercard with immediate effect.

Finally, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding and for being a valued customer.

This notice is being sent to you by Intercash on behalf of Paysafe Financial Services Limited and Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited.

All the best,

Cosmo Payment
